The GIFT of sight restored

But that's not the end of the story. Smile. It's a good story.

Gober was given the gift of sight! Yes!!!!! The good doctors at the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Program in the provincial capital of Medan performed the cataract surgery on the 40-year-old animal on Monday. And the surgery was successful. Gober got to see her babies! Can you imagine that moment?

Cataract surgery is common for two leggeds, sadly it is also necessary and more common for Bichons and other dog breeds. But the hope lies in the fact that it is fixable and that you can restore sight. Can you ever put a price on that?

We have a couple of dogs at White Dog Cottage who will be undergoing cataract surgery. That means we will be baking and raising some cash.

But hey, it will be worth it! So, let's think about this., Can you make cataract surgery happen for an animal in need? Can you contribute to giving back sight?  Can you help?
