Timmy just found his forever home with Eleonora. How wonderful, how exciting...
for both!!! They both look happy and I can't wait to see them!
So, that good news was the boost I needed today to keep on my effort to win the Cutest dog competition.
Winning would give Tidewater Bichon Frise Rescue some much needed cash.
If you ever wonder why Bichons ever need to be rescued, read below...
Auntie Robin reminds us :
"Remember Nicole whose drunken, abusive owner broke her leg in 3 places? She's now living in Virginia Beach happy and pampered and loved.
Remember Quillah who came to us nearly dead, spent nearly a week in the hospital and had liver shunt surgery? She is now alive and well in Chesapeake -- the picture of health.
Remember Freddie? Blind -- kept in an apartment muzzled and caged while his owner was at work? His two surgeries became 7 but he is adored and adoring in Chesapeake and fully sighted!
How about poster girl Noelle who had bladderstone surgery and was going blind from dry eye? A parotid duct transposition was done while here in rescue (her salivary glands were re-routed to her eyes so everytime she swallowed her eyes were flushed). She lived out her life in Richmond with "parents" who loved her dearly."
Yes, and we also remember Hope, and Wendy and Peter, and Diana, and Daisy and the list goes on and on and on... and on...
So, no, it is not an ego "theng". I am very secure in the fact that I am loved and would be even if I grew antlers [how cool would that be???!]
But, my fortune is not shared by all dogs.
So. Be kind. VOTE DAILY, VOTE FOR ME, LET'S MAKE SOME $$$ FOR TIDEWATER BICHON FRISE RESCUE!!!
