It seems to be a universal problem that all dogs have to deal with... first line of defense is barking and chasing of course. This is only effective in getting them up a tree though and unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to climb a tree yet. Have you?

yes, I feel like chasing squirrels is best left to the poodles and airedales in our neighborhood -- they are taller and can reach higher into the trees. Personally I'm more of a lover than a hunter (especially now that evil kitty seems to be gone).

Chica seems oblivious to the squirrels and the rabbits. I think she's missing the hunter gene...
