dreams

Did you ever have one of those naps that ushers you into a dream so real, so vivid that you are literally living in it?
This morning, I had one of those dreams. I did not realize it was a dream until JD, Wendy and momma all told me over and over that it was a dream. So strange. Lucky for me it was a great dream and not a nightmare. Apparently I was moving a lot in my sleep and making funny noises.
You are curious. What did I dream? I dreamt I was running around and playing in a huge field. I was surrounded by lots of Bichons and 2leggeds and lots of neat toys and food and pillows. I was getting belly rubs and we all knew each other and we all were having such fun.
I was so confused when I woke up and looked around. I was with my family and not in a field, but in bed...took me a minute to orient myself. I wanted to ask where everyone went.
JD said it sounded to him like I was dreaming about the annual Bichon Bash. Maybe. I don't recall any one specifically, just the feeling and sense that I knew and loved everyone there and that I was loved and safe and happy.
We have some new rescues at White Cottage. I do hope that some days they have the same kind of dream, anchored in the reality of their new lives. :)
Momma said she rubbed my belly while I was sleeping. Wendy said she snuggled me.
JD said he made sure I was not having a bad dream.
Hm. Nice to know that while I was sleeping, they were all taking care of me. I guess when it comes to the things that really matter, I am living my dreams. Are you?
grateful, 'vie
