"Rescue Me" Lap Quilt Raffle to Benefit TBFR
This 53-inch square lap quilt is entitled "Rescue Me." The top quilt panel is machine pieced and has nine 12-inch blocks. The focus fabric is made up of various dog breeds with the Bichon image in the center of each block. The colors are white, cream, light brown, brown, dark rust, and black. Also a white and blue accent is on these blocks. The two-inch inner border is light blue to match the blue in the focus fabric.

The center block has a hand appliquéd Bichon image cut from the focus fabric. It is embellished with a ribbon collar and white heart button. The light blue curved piece of fabric at the foot of the Bichon is appliquéd with the letters TBFR (Tidewater Bichon Frise Rescue). The color of both the center block background and the 4-1/2-inch outer border is tonal tan.

The quilt is machine quilted in white thread featuring a paw print and dog bone design. It has a 100% cotton white backing and 100% cotton batting. All fabric has been pre-washed. A one-inch binding with mitered corners was made from strips of the focus fabric. The binding is machine stitched on the front and hand stitched on the back.

In addition, the quilt has a rod pocket sewn on the back of the quilt for hanging, if desired. The quilt is machine washable. Use cold water, gentle cycle and air dry.

Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Please send your check to TBFR, Inc., PO Box 8084, Suffolk, VA 23438. Don't forget to include your address and phone number so you can be notified should you win! The winning raffle ticket will be pulled on April 17th at the BASH and I will be taking pictures of that even!!!
