America's Best Dog-Friendly Hotels per Travel+Leisure magazine.
The Monaco, my hotel of choice is part of the Kimpton Hotels chain, multiple national locations. Here is the review for the Kipmton chain:
"Doggy Treats: It’s tough to find a hotel chain more attuned to pets. All of Kimpton’s hotels welcome dogs with beds, treats, and toys, and many properties even have their own dogs. A few, like the Hotel Monaco in Alexandria, VA, host a doggy happy hour twice a week where dogs can munch on complimentary treats and sip water while their owners enjoy their choice of alcoholic beverage. Guests who check into The Muse Hotel in New York City can sign up for a pet package that includes a welcome basket of treats, a dog umbrella, and a doggy mani-pedi. Or order up a dog-centered picnic basket at 70 Park Avenue Hotel—perfect for Central Park.
Rates: Prices vary with locations."
Dog Fee: None.
On a personal note. the staff at the Monaco is fantastic. The treat bags are wonderful, the locale and setting so dog friendly! And, did I mention Charlie?
Oh yes, I did. In a prior post.
Yes, I can travel anywhere with my family and I know we will ALL be comfy at the Kimpton. And no, I am not getting paid to say that. It is what it is. The truth.

That's why my owners got the house on wheels...so we could go with them!!! W A Y back in 2003, mama had a choice to make. HE said we could either get a bichon puppy OR continue to take lavish vacations to Bermuda. Mama picked ME!! And I am so very glad she did. Then....they got the RV so that we could go with them!!! Although....I do think that staying at a hotel would be quite a nice experience...I have only done it one time...and it really wasn't that great of a hotel! xoxo Chloe
Well, of course she picked you! The belly alone is worth it and the kisses oh the kisses!!!!
