A letter from Elmo

"Dearest Silvieon4,

I decided to write to you and tell you all about my predicament. Hopefully, you will see why I need your help and you will publish my letter in your blog.

I need to get adopted. I need my forever home. I know you came from White Cottage, and I know you are a proud Bichon and loyal to your breed and all, but... I should tell you... I am not a Bichon. I am a Tibetan Terrier mix and I have no idea how I ended up at a Bichon Rescue, but here I am. I guess the fact that I am a white dog was enough to get me through the doors of White Cottage?

Please don't get me wrong. I am grateful as all heck for the help Tidewater Bichon Frise Rescue has given me. I have spent a great deal of time hoping nobody notices I am not a Bichon [ and kicks me out] and a great deal of time feeling pretty different and wishing for a forever home of my own. But, therein lies the rub. Who do you think comes to White Cottage? People looking to rescue a Bichon, not a Tibetan Terrier and there you have it. My catch22. [Silvieon4... that is a reference to a book before your time... look it up].

So, I am asking you for help. Would you please be so kind as to publish my letter? I am hoping against all odds, that someone out there will read it and open up their home to little old me, the Tibetan Terrier mix whose beautiful white fur lacks the curl, but whose heart is just aching to belong.
Thank you in advance, sincerely, Elmo

PS. I have attached my pic, just in case ...not bragging or anything, but I am a handsome Tibetan Terrier mix..."

Hi Elmo, here is your letter and I do hope you get a forever home soon. And, there is nothing wrong with being a Tibetan Terrier mix! You know, different can be special? I see you as special.
