What a great video. I would love to see more of these since I have a 6 mos old Bichon and I'm trying to find out how to motivate him. Thanks Silvie. Noreen & Hunter
We love Ian Dunbar. http://www.naturallyhappydogs.com/ is the one reference website we actually go to. I think you should check it out because his methods work. While most Bichons are food motivated... I AM NOT food motivated. For me belly rubs are the biggie. I love a great belly rub and I love praise. So any training for me is all about being handled. My sister The Wendy, is food motivated. JD is... just his own dog. He will do what pleases him. But even with JD we work. And he does respond to commands. :) Good luck!
Thank you Silvie for the site to visit and for the tips on what motivates you. I need to get serious about training; maybe get a book on Bichon's(since I haven't owned one before). I love your sight! You share such valuable info for all of us. Happy Day. Noreen & Hunter
