Ever try crispy oat sticks?
1/2 cup rolled oats
2 tablespoons white sesame seeds
1 tablespoon flax seeds
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons olive oil
Put everything in your HAGADOR [That is what momma calls her big mixer... no I don't know why, basically momma is weird.] Mix well.
Roll out a smooth not stocky dough. [Depending on humidity you might needs to dust it with some more flour. Remember wheat flour needs time to fully be absorbed, so letting it sit for about 20 minutes before you roll it out is a great idea.]
Then just cut some long sticks and bake them in a preheated over [375] for about 12 minutes.
We like them hot, crisp and served as soon as they are cool enough to handle.
Yields 15-20 or basically NOT enough to have thirds....Put everything in your HAGADOR [That is what momma calls her big mixer... no I don't know why, basically momma is weird.] Mix well.
