Neighbors Say Squirrels Have Upper Hand - Omaha News Story - KETV Omaha
Rats with tails!!!! Tank brought this to my attention. You would not believe the damage done by squirrels in our yard! The whole gazebo had to be reframed. The deck had damage. These are vicious rats with a tail and I do believe that they are gearing up for a major offensive and takeover of all the yards!
We are now spraying things with a cayenne cornstarch vinegar solution. Supposedly it will keep the rats with a tail away... we shall see. We are also dumping coffee grounds everywhere. Supposedly they hate the smell of burnt anything and espresso grounds smell ... burned... we shall see. IT IS A BATTLE!!!!
Last week the tailed rat ate momma's strawberries! It has been an ongoing fight. Nothing is safe from the miserable invaders. Not even my pool floaties.
Tank we MUST mobilize! We need an effective method to deal with them!

You need to move to a neighborhood with coyotes like we do, 'vie. Squirrels aren't a problem here...
see, did't I tell you they were massing for a HUGE attack -- even though it's not my job, I am now keeping a vigilant watch that the fuzzy tailed rats don't get into our warehouse! I've been trying to talk my friend,Callie (she's a big poodle) to come visit sometime at the warehouse. She is probably THE best squirrel chaser I've ever seen -- yesterday she even made a squirrel fall out of a tree! Go Callie!
Good luck on managing your perimeter! Hmmm, do you think that maybe you could convince Feather and Bill to join you in a mutual alliance against the squirrels (yes, sort of like the werewolves and vampires do in the next Twilight movie! -- sheesh mama, Silvie doesn't care about Twilight) As much as I hate to suggest it, it might be time to form an alliance!
