We are going to mediation.

Sigh. My lawyers have just informed me that momma is not budging on the retention bonus offer.
We could litigate, but on the advice of counsel, we are instead going to go to mediation.

Why is it that life always gets complicated? I thought I had a pretty straight forward fair proposal.
But nooooo, the momma must be missing practicing law, 'cause she is NOT into giving in an inch.

Well, I am not taking it personally. My lawyers have assured me over and over that this is just the way things are done. Right now, the only question in my mind is WHO will be the mediator???

I do hope that the mediator likes Bichons. You know, I will play the fluffy cute card. That is the way things are done.

I am reading up on body language and pawsitive impressions... Mediators have to be impartial and fair. But they are not immune to pawsitive impressions. I think I can outcute momma.
