Happy FOURTH of JULY!!!!

Momma decided to dress us for the Fourth of July.  She was so excited about our new dresses that all she could do was rip the bags open, take them off the hangers and  put them on us.
I am told that the 4th of  July is important because on this day in 1776, the Declaration of Independence was approved by the Continental Congress, setting the 13 colonies on the road to freedom as a sovereign nation.   How ironic. On this day of Independence momma decided to "Dress us".  This is Wendy dressed in a chic black and white polka dot cinched at the waist with a beautiful satin bow. Momma called it quintessential elegance.

This is me. Momma said I am a girl who can wear red and shine. She said, some can't. Red is a strong color and for some a red dress wears them. I am trying to understand how. But I do believe momma.

The dress is just the start I now have to get brushed. Momma is looking at her phone...ahh the calendar. My next appointment with Miss Margie.... I have to figure out how to work that thing and delete some stuff....

Wendy will not even pose with me for one picture.  This is serious!  She really hates the dress.

She says it's beyond hate. Loathes the "old lady frumpy thing" And she hates polka dots.. And she never wants to hear that black is slimming again!!!! The dresses are the exact same size... that's actually true.

I am just watching the drama. I have never seen The Wendy throw such a hissy fit.  I want to look good for the Fourth, so I am just waiting for everyone else to be ready.

 

I think momma loves me, so I will suffer in this dress [I love naked best] and let her have her Fourth of July like she wants it. Hey Wendy... this is when they do the ribs, burgers, steaks, hot dogs.... I am just reminding you... I think a little cooperation will have its own rewards...  I am just saying...
