Good morning world.

Did you miss me? I have had my paws full taking care of my momma. I think we actually see a light at the end of this tunnel. Momma came back all fine from her surgery and then she got broken again, but this has not been an easy fix thing. Of course nobody listens to little old me, but I think I know what the problem is. I have observed, I have watched, I have noted, and I have concluded. Momma is sickest when she comes home wearing paper bracelets. DUH! It is completely obvious to me, the woman has a severe, deadly allergy to paper bracelets. You know the kind... Cheap, vile uncoordinated things with bar codes and such. There is absolutely nothing stylish about them. Who started this stupid trend? Every single time she comes home wearing them, the woman is reduced to a wet noodle. Please daddy, Dowi, Adam, NO MORE CHEAP PAPER BRACELETS! What, did you all lose the address to Fink? It is not as if this deadly allergy does not impact all of us! Seriously, who wants to share a meal with someone who turns green at the mere smell of food, or who counts pills as "dessert"? And the bologna that I hear! The latest theory is that momma has shingles in her back. Now that's rich. I have seen her naked. Bent over, usually ouching, but naked. There are NO SHINGLEs on her. She is not a roof! I am telling you -- paper bracelet allergy. Test the theory, go get her something from Fink, I bet she will feel better in seconds.

I never thought I would miss the frisbee cat, or the smell of a clean vinegary floor, or the humming of the dust buster. And do you have any idea how long it has been since I had a good cup of pucino foam?

And get this... Momma thinks that grilled food "smells icky"...

Anyway, I am back on duty. Today she brushed her hair...we call that progress. The Wendy says that she still has hospital stink on her. We keep bathing her, maybe it's time to set her up with Miss Margie for a full groom.. Mhhh.

To all of you who were so wonderful and send prayers and love, and stayed in touch, thank you. It did make momma smile, even though her eyes would not focus well enough, she made Dowi and daddy read every word to her.

Oh yea, dude at Sentara Princess Anne ER. Better you move before momma gets better, cause she has been brewing a pot of rage with your name on it...

Love to all
Nurse 'vie

To both the Silvies! Mama and I are doing a happy dance that your mama is getting better. Hmm, paper bracelet allergy -- that could do it, after all there are some awfully stinky papers out there!. Mama says that maybe she should actually go get a shot for this shingles thing -- she says she is susceptible to it -- but like you 'vie, I KNOW mama is not a roof part (and I've seen mama nekkid too -- not something I'd want to share with anyone!). But mama says that getting shingles is a very owie thing so we are hoping your mama gets better soon. Mama says you should watch the mail as something is coming your way.

Glad you guys are okay -- Rocky

You are brilliant! My Mom comes home wearing those bracelets too and she's sick as a dog. You are very smart Silvie. I have heard of those shingle things. Take good care of your Mom.

Hi 'Vie! I am so glad that you are back and that your Mama is getting better. We were all very worried. I'm with you on those paper bracelets. My daddy had one last fall and he was all sorts of painin'. We need to ban them. They're not fashionable and don't even come in pretty colors or with sparkles or anything. What's the point? If you're going to accessorize, you need to do it RIGHT!!
