Get this stuff:
1 1/2 cups oat flour and yes we have tried rice flour as well. We prefer oat.
2 1/2 cups quinoa flour
- 3/4 cup flax meal {Yes you can grind flax seeds to make flax meal in your food processor, just pulse }
- 1/2 cup frozen, organic, blueberries. [Not the sweetened stuff!]
DO NOT THAW You want them as whole as possible. and yes you want the blueberries frozen otherwise they mush when you bake them. - 1/4 cup olive oil, yes you can use canola, or even coconut oil, but we love EEVO, extra virgin olive oil .
1 large eggWe have also tried 1/3 cup of yogurt, and it is ok. Just takes longer for the cookies to dry out.Then do this:
1.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with a nonstick baking mat like silpat or parchment paper;2.
3.
Space biscuits 1 inch apart on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes until nicely browned and firm. No spring back to the touch. These are for doggy teeth, not hoomans!
Transfer biscuits to a wire rack and leave in a turned off oven overnight or place in your dehyadrator on low for about 4 hrs. Remove from oven and store in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.
We like them hard as a rock and crispy. Now serve them up!
I need the energy to blog. Don't judge me. You think it's easy to stay up this late?
