FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – July 8, 2015 – Green Bay, Wisconsin – Carnivore Meat Company, LLC is recalling select products and lots of Carnivore Vital Essentials pet foods because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeriamonocytogenes.
Healthy cats and dogs rarely become sick from Listeria monocytogenes. In humans, however, Listeria is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
If an animal becomes ill with Listeria, it will display symptoms similar to the ones listed above for humans. People with concerns about whether their pet has Listeria should contact their veterinarian.
The lots involved in this voluntary recall are:
Vital Essentials Frozen Beef Tripe Patties, UPC 33211 00809, Lot # 10930, Best by date 20160210
Vital Essentials Frozen Beef Tripe Nibblets, UPC 33211 00904, Lot # 10719, Best by date 12022015
The "Best By" date code and lot # is located on the back of the package. The affected product was distributed in WA, CA, TX, GA, IL, CO, NM, FL, PA, RI, OH and VT.
This voluntary recall has been issued because the FDA has reported an independent lab detected the bacteria in samples during a recent review. The company has received no reports of human illness as a result of these products.
If you are a consumer and have purchased a bag of Vital Essentials Frozen Beef Tripe Patties with the "Best By" date code of 20160210 or a bag of Frozen Beef Tripe Nibblets with a "Best By" date code of 12022015, we ask that you please call 920-370-6542 Monday-Friday 9:00AM-4:00PM CST and someone will assist you in obtaining replacement or a full refund from your local retailer for your original purchase.

Stoooooopid HUMAN tricks I can't live with.

I need to vent. No. I need to get on my soapbox and really address the stooped hooman tricks problems. Once and for all, I need to shed light on this and maybe force some evolutionary changes.
'Cause... It's about time!
 Counting  down.
Number 10 on the countdown list...
Momma...
 10. Back off, back off, back off...stop cleaning my eyes every 12 seconds. It does not change my allergies. It does change how I feel about you. Do you want me to avoid you? Keep obsessing over my eye goo and I will be going else where for my belly rubs. I have options, you know, I have a nonna. I have a Dowi, and I have an Adam. I also have a daddy. Like I said. I have options.

 9. Ringing the doorbell and pretending uncle Phil is visiting, when he is not... Is obnoxious. If you really want me to come downstairs, try asking me nicely to come downstairs.

 8. Telling us that there is a big woof (Dog) walking around, and getting us all riled up at the windows, when there is NOTHING there, just because you want to make the bed...is horrible. Mornings should not start before 8 am. Six am is too early to wake up and get evicted from the bed. We have decided that you either need glasses...or you are losing your mind...or you are getting to be a liar and as soon as I locate matches, your pants will be on fire.

 7. I don't care how well you wrap, trap, bury, hide, stash, mash, hash, whip, encrypt...pills in meatballs, bits of cheese, hot dogs, ham, mortadella, prosciutto...whatever...I WILL FIND THAT PILL. I will make damn sure I will NOT eat that pill and maybe I will never eat your delivery device again either. My name is NOT MAX.

 6. Adam YOU DO NOT HAVE MY NOSE. You will never have my nose, or my tail, or my teethies. STOP telling me you do.

 5. Putting a lid on your water glass in the car is RUDE, crude and mean. Daddy and momma, don't you know how to share? You are supposed to share. I have never stopped either of you from taking a sip from my water bowl. That stooooooped lid means I have to go all the way down and find my bowl and take a sip...

 4. The flashing camera... I move the U.S. Legislature to create a national guideline paparazzi standard. Create safe zones and safe time periods where and when a camera cannot be operated. I am getting tired of sleeping in camera ready mode. OCD momma and her dang cell phone, camera, I pad are always ready to strike...two words you need to look up momma...PRIVACY...BOUNDARIES. Three words...add RESPECT.

 3. Ugly hooooman rags. Keep them. Do not drape them on me. I only want to wear what I choose to wear. Respect me and respect my taste. Respect my doghood.

 2. No more wipes. I hate wipes. I hate being wiped after breakfast, dinner, walks. Fine. You can wipe my feet. You can wipe my tushy but the face is Off Limit! Drumroll, please...here comes my number one stoooopid hoooman trick...

 1. Invoking the name of Auntie Robin in vain. You use her name like a crazed mobster uses an empty gun. Taking it out and waiving it in the air anytime you think you need to make a point. Get this momma, I'm not scared of the auntie Robin. I don't fear going back to rescue. It ain't happening. Evah. I had talks with various sources. I know better, so stop invoking The Robin. It is an empty trick. SNORT. Sniff, getting off the soap box. I am tired,  and cranky...'Vie

I do NOT snore! SEPIA SATURDAY!!!

Sometimes I think  know momma needs to learn boundaries. There I was, 'sausted. Spent. Wiped out. I supervised the whole tile laying floor thingie in that new room.  I did it out of the goodness of my sweet tender heart. [ I need this project to be done already!] I finally got some peace and quiet when the pounding, nailing, sawing stopped.  I went upstairs and decided to just claim my spot on the sofa and chillax.

And as I am drifting into sweet surrender sleep... I become aware of the momma. What is she fascinated by????

I mean, do I bother her when she is asleep? Oh yuh, but that's different! I just want to snuggle her and be loved by her as she sleeps. She can continue sleeping, All I need is for her to rub my belly while she sleeps.  It's not as if her hands are busy!

She is some sort of weird peeping tom. She is fascinated by my mouth? She said I am a mouth breather. DUH! I have allergies. Fix that mom! And I blame momma for my allergies.  I got allergies just like she has allergies. It's bad DNA. What? I am right.  You do too inherit allergies from your pawrents!  I am living proof.

Momma is disturbing my nap. She giggles  after she said at weird things like... should she get me braces?  Seriously. GO AWAY. I need to recharge.  I need sleep. I need peace and quiet, I put in my 10 hrs!

And then momma makes an outrageous statement, She says I SNORE! I DO NOT SNORE!.  What she heard is my half invested growl.  I was trying to express my displeasure with her intrusion. But I did not want to fully awaken to do it,

You know, if that Cosmo boy had not already taken up my secret spot under the side table in daddy's office, I would be there, sleeping peacefully and with my privacy intact.  This is all HIS fault.

sigh
of course
now she is kissing me.

ehhh it's a curse. Cuteness is a curse.

Hey, how about a belly rub and I will think of forgiving you for the rude intrusion?

'vie
PS. It's 7-11.  By any chance is 711 Gicing out free hot dogs or something?  They should!  It's their name day!!!! Make mine a fat free turkey dog- naked, hold the bun. 711 Corporate are you listening???
