Happy birthday Mr Internet

Hey we missed it???? Sooooo sorry Mr Internet. Yesterday it was your 40th birthday. Mhh Momma says you are now ripe for a mid life crisis. In your case, what does that mean? Personally I think you already had that crisis when they came out with Vista...But what do I know. I am just a 4legged blogger who can't even envision no Internet. I did hear stories from my momma and daddy about HP64, about dial up, you know, they sound like all other stories ... The Oddessy , Snow White...

In any case, happy 40th

devoutly yours

Bone Buffet/Bone Yard part II

My upstairs bone buffet

Randy Travis - Digging up Bones

Found at bee mp3 search engine

My downstairs bone buffet.

Do you see a yard anywhere??????

I so appreciate you comments and input on this issue. And, I am sad that I am not alone in this bone and chewie dilemma.

So. while Randy Travis puts me in the mood, let's address your comments....

Chloe, those are my bone dishes. Heart shaped.... No liquids will ever go in them because momma does not trust them not to leach. [Big sore subject about things made in a place where food grade means nothing] Even though they are pink, JD uses them.... Oh they are really mine because on the bottom they say Princess and that is~~~~~> ME!

Dude, yes it is true, I have buried one or two of my treasured bones under daddy while he was asleep. But, that should make him feel honored! That is a major exercise of trust. Do you think I would bury anything I value under someone I did not trust completely? I am still unsure as to why daddy did not see it my way. Momma said I made daddy feel used and objectified. Ha. I think it upset him that JD barked him awake to steal MY bone!!!! But he should feel flattered I trust him completely with my treasures. Oh yea, he really got upset when I buried the softened up chewie that was all wet. Go figure...

Rocky, I feel for you. I hate it when Mrs Lysol [aka momma] decides to go on one of her binges. Everything gets washed and everything loses that smell that makes it special and familiar. Why do they do that anyway? You know, when we had invaders [ants] momma put my bone buffet on top of a boot tray and then she poured a tiny bit of water in it. We called it the moat. It worked as long as we kept the bones in the dish. Have your momma try that.

As to why momma is targeting my bone buffet. I am not really sure. We do keep it out of the way under the coffee table... Maybe it is a decorating issue. Maybe Vern Yip can help.
Vern, where should the bone buffet be kept??? Next to the water dish? Is there a decorating protocol for that?

Sigh. working on my poster for upcoming events today. Got to work hard to get enough votes to at least win one week! I am so behind the eight ball! How to I up my cuteness factor? How do I motivate you to VOTE?

Help.
a Bichon's work is NEVER done!

Buffet or Bone yard.... it's all in the eye of the beholder.

When momma can't do what she wants to do [thank you doc for telling her she can't do things], she gets weird[er]. She walks around, points to stuff, makes "honey do" lists for other people [poor daddy] and makes plans.

We know this routine. We put up with it as best as we can. We secretly support each other and endure the looks of disapproval when pillows
fall off the couch. We tolerate that pruned faced pained look she puts on when stuff attaches itself to your paws and it tracks upstairs. We don't tell on each other, we know this will be over soon and flying under the radar is the key to survival.

BUT. Yes there is always a BUT. This afternoon, that woman went too far. On top of her number 7 list of to do stuff [yes there are that many lists!] she put, and I quote, "Get rid of the bone yard." GASP. Taking deep breath. What momma calls "the bone yard" is actually our bone buffet. You know, the pink heart dish in the family room that holds all the treasured bones. NOT a bone yard.
Ick that sounds awful. Grave yard.... bone yard... Why on earth would she want to get rid of our bone buffet? We use that! And we already make an effort to keep all of our bones in there! Do we mess with her ever growing patrimony of olive jars? No. Do we touch in any way her insane stash of olive oil? No. So why is it that she feels compelled to mess with our stuff?

I, no, WE (JD, Wendy and I) need to hire our 2legged siblings. We need some representation of the legal kind.
Ok. That shall be topic one on our agenda when they arrive on Saturday.

While we're at it, I better work on a more comprehensive list of demands. Something inclusive enough and with enough "fat" on it that we can afford to "bargain" and "leverage."

Do you have any suggestions for me?

DICK's Sporting Goods

Dick's Sporting Goods has decided not to sell Michael Vick jerseys! YEAAAAAA for Dick's Sporting Goods! Momma got a lot of stuff from them for our hurricane prep kit. Now she will have to go back there and shop there regularly. [momma ... one word..... Ehmm shoesssssssss]

We love and support corporate conscience. Let them know you agree with their choice, call their corporate office at 1-866-677-4771. When you get the recording press 0 to talk to a real person. They are keeping a total of the people who call, both for and against the policy. So do please forward this phone number to everyone you know! I did ask permission from them to post this, and they said it was up to me. So, I am posting.

WENDY on watch

Wendy is supervising the gardeners. She is not very fond of them as they are in her eyes "intruders".

They bring machines, they mess up the grass, they are noisy, they are loud, they obviously have no appreciation for nature because it seems like they are always re arranging it. And, when they leave...there is broken grass everywhere!

If any of us did that to the garden, so you think we would ever be allowed out? NOOOOOOOO. Really if you want fair, you need to go to Richmond
for the County Fair, 'cause that is the only fair you are going to get...JD makes a point of rolling into the cut grass. It happens every single time and every single time momma is shocked. I am rolling my eyes. So that is what I expect will happen this morning. JD drama.

But while Miss Wendy is supervising, let me tell you about last night.

We went out with daddy. He had promised us a good walk and given the fact that momma is still semi broken, we have to wait for daddy for long social walking. Yes I mean that. The tree of us are accustomed to walking and socializing. Most 2leggeds are shocked to see 3 Bichons out together. I have no idea why. I have counted as many as 7 2leggeds in groups. [editor's note...7 is the biggest number Silvieon4 recognizes]
The sight of us always brings a big smile and a greeting. Last night as we were crossing the parking lot, two lovely ladies flagged us. Well we stopped and daddy talked to them and guess what? They knew all about me! They are fans, they read this blog and they have been voting!!! Shhhh JD. He is sooooo jealous., you should have seen the way he cut in and pushed his way into a belly rub... shameless...
I was thrilled to meet my fans and they told us about their Bichon. I love knowing about you guys as much as I love telling you about moi.
And aunt Robin, they know you and uncle Jack! Honestly I think aunt Robin and uncle Jack know the whole world. Miss Renee, when you go back to work at the library in Alexandria, please give my regards to all those wonderful supporters who vote for me there, and yes y'all...still contest time, stay focused... I need to actually win!

Silvie CAMERA!

The goal: going outside......

The distraction... SNIFF... nothing new.

The path..... family room

I got the camera. I am not sure I like it yet... I mean I see all this all the time... I guess you don't.

This thing is heavy. Momma says it is one of the smallest ones... NOT... I want her cell phone camera. She said -no way Jose- who is Jose????

Anyway. I am going outside and camera stays inside. Momma rules....
