Mardi GRAS!!!! Il Carnevale

It is THAT time of the year. I call it the "other" Halloween.

You know what I am talking about? Mardi Gras. And we all know about  momma and her mask fetish. UGH UGH UGH.  I have talked about it before, here:

But if truth be told... her obsession has nothing to do with Mardi Gras. It has to do with "IL CARNEVALE." She is obsessed with this: http://www.carnevale.venezia.it/en/.
Momma wants to be there.

See...the masks  obsession makes sense in that context, right? [Say yes, it is easier... I promise, go along, get along and all that rot]

I have managed to escape momma, but the Wendy...

has not been so lucky.... in the past. Today she is doggy non grata. Deep in hiding....shhhh as we all are.

On the upside, I am thinking gumbo and beignets and all that is good and delicious about Mardi Gras.

After all how bad can anything be if it is called "FAT" Tuesday?

Bring on dem beeds, and laissez les bon temps rouler!

 Specially when a cat is in the house! Cooper , or as we call him -DC-....to his daddy:

"No, I called dibs on this TV, you go watch your Super Bowl somewhere else! It's Kitten Bowl time, go quietly and don't make me get ugly with you."

And... that's how it went down... Uncle Phil, you missed a great din din, No I mean really spectacular. Did you enjoy watching Cooper watch TV?

Dear Splish

Dear Splish, 

I am HOME, I really am home.  

This is my forever + one day home.

I KNOW this not just because the momma says so, all the time, but because I FIT in.

I have my family.  MY FAMILY.

I have clothes, and many many collars and toys!  I even have a nickname now! I am the Cosi Bear!!!! I love that, it comes with snuggles and kisses! 

I get to  play ball with daddy and do zoomies  and blitzies with silvieon4 and I play I got your nose with momma and peak-a-boo with the Wendy and follow the leader with JD! 

Hey, did you know that I have an Adam, a Dowi and a Max? I even have a nonna! I tell you, it is a family!!!! 

And you know what? I am forgetting that life I had before because I am so busy being loved and being a PART of my family!

Dear Splish, you will always be part of my life, but please understand, I don’t need you as much as I did. When I get nervous now, I have laps and petters and I get lots and lots of kisses and hugs. It is really nice.

But... I do need you when I have strangers in my house.

Yea, I know, right? I have a house!  I have a home! I have a family ! 

I have you Splish and you are part of my family!
