Cosmo says:

" MY lollygator. Touch it and die. Ok, maybe not die, but touch it and I will be very upset. Now back off. I am watching you."

Silvieon4's response... "Eeeew, it is green. Really dude do you need a pacifier in your mouth all the time?"

How wonderful is this? This lady is my new hero of the month.

And how about sending them some of that dirty paper you keep in your purse? You know you want to.  You know you ought to... Go ahead, do it. Unless you are sending it to my Alma mater, Tidewater Bichon Frise Rescue, there is no better use for that dirty paper.

They could use it, you know.

Heck send them the paper you were going to use to buy that nasty bag of fast food.  Your hips will be happier. I promise.

No, I don't mind the sounds of construction

I don't mind the jack hammer, or pneumatic nail guns, or saws... I don't mind them one bit...
so long as momma is holding me, that is.

Are they evah going to get done and gone????

Momma keeps saying that it will be worth it. I sure hope so. You should see the dust around here.

And the only place to nap quietly is daddy's closet.

Meanwhile, making lemonade out of lemons.  Momma... HOLD ME.

Don't I look distressed?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — June 19, 2015 — Boulder, CO — Boulder Dog Food Company, L.L.C. is voluntarily recalling the Chicken Sprinkles (3 oz.) with a “Best By” date of “05/04/16”, a Lot Number of “998”, and a UPC Code of 899883001231 (the “Product”), because the Product has the potential of being contaminated with Salmonella.  Salmonella can affect animals eating the Product, and there is risk to humans who handle the Product, especially if the handler does not thoroughly wash his or her hands after having contact with the Product or any surfaces exposed to the Product.
Healthy people handling a product contaminated by Salmonella should monitor themselves for some or all of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping, and fever.  Although rare, Salmonella may result in more serious ailments, including arterial infections, endocarditis, arthritis, muscle pain, eye irritation, and urinary tract symptoms.  Consumers exhibiting these signs after having contact with the Product should contact their healthcare providers immediately.
Pets with Salmonella infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting.  Some pets will have only decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain.  Infected but otherwise healthy pets can be carriers and infect other animals or humans.  If your pet has consumed the Product and has exhibited these symptoms, you should contact your veterinarian immediately.
This voluntary recall is limited to Chicken Sprinkles (3 oz.) with a “Best By” date of “05/04/16”, Lot # “998” and a UPC Code of 899883001231. The Product is in a clear poly bag. The UPC Code is located in the lower right hand corner of the product label on the front of the bag.  The “Best By” date and Lot Number are on a label on the reverse side of the bag.
The recalled Product consists of 10 bags of Chicken Sprinkles (3 oz.) that were distributed to two retail stores in the State of Colorado, one retail store in the State of Washington, and one retail customer in the State of Maryland.  Boulder Dog Food Company, L.L.C. has retrieved 8 of the 10 bags of the recalled Product, and believes that the remaining two bags of the Product have been used or destroyed.  If you are in possession of the recalled Product (“Best By” date of “05/04/16”, a Lot #”998” and a UPC Code of 899883001231) please discontinue use and return the unused Product to either the retailer where it was purchased or directly to Boulder Dog Food Company L.L.C.
The recall is a result of a routine sampling program by the Colorado Department of Agriculture which revealed a “positive” test for Salmonella in one package of Chicken Sprinkles (3 oz.) with a “Best By” date of “05/04/16”, a Lot Number of “998”, and  a UPC Code of 899883001231.
One complaint was received from a consumer who had contact with the Product.

I AM the MUPPET!

When the momma asks where the Moppet is, it means she wants ME.

Not JD.
Not the Wendy.
Not the Cosmo.
Not the momma- daddy.
ME!

And I love that. Think the dad will get upset if I start calling him "not the momma?" It is accurate... He is NOT the momma.....

In any case, when she calls for HER MOPPET  I make sure I am available for hugs, kisses and belly giving.

It's all in my job duty description.

Sepia Saturday. The ART of "giving face"

"Giving face"

Verb[edit]

  1. (with to) To confront.  [quotations ▼]
It is an art.

To be successful, it has to be subtle, but clear.
Quiet, but definite.
Timed oh, evah so perfectly.
And it must deliver the message without doubt.

I am the master of "Giving face".
I can reduce momma and daddy to puddles of apologies, for both real and imaginary slights.
That's when you know you are good!  When they start looking for things to apologize for as a response to your "giving face.

I don't do the eye roll thing much anymore. It is too, too obvious.
I give face.

Do not engage in giving face until  you have spent a great deal of time practicing it. You don't want to take the sting out of it by acclamation,

Deep breath.  I am good at this.  This morning momma apologized for thinking that I was JD.
"Thinking". HA

Look this picture. That is a picture perfect moment of "giving face"

And that's how it's done!

Go find a mirror, make sure you are alone and practice.  Oh, I follow the face, with a long slow blink that fades into a distant stare. Per-fect-ionnnnnn,

Happy Sepia Saturday.

JD is out of sink?

Can we chat????

JD is making the momma crazy.  Momma keeps saying that JD is out of "sink".
We are all worried about this, because clearly there is something wrong with momma.  JD has NEVER been in a sink! I asked JD.  He swore up and down on a stack of chewies that he has never been IN a sink.  Next to, yes,  In?  Neveah.  And we have never seen him in a sink.

Lately those two seem to argue a lot.

Momma serves breakfast on time by 7 am. Not soon enough for Cosmo, but plenty soon for moi and the Wendy. JD, on the other paw seems to want his breakfast to be served no earlier that 10 am. Until then, he chooses to nap. The sound of NPR, the smell of coffee and the clatter of breakfast preparations apparently puts him in a deeper sleep. As proper staff, momma should just back off. The boy will eat when he is hungry.

But drill Sargent momma reacts by going into full delusion mode. She mutters "JD IS OUT OF SINK".

We all know that momma has some serious... cleaning fixations. But why focus on a sink? And which sink? You got me.  But that woman is for sure lost in her translation.

Shhhh she is coming. talk about the builder, Louis Vuitton... anything that will capture her mind...

So you think we need to get help for her and her sink fixation?

At my wits's end.

"For the time being, we recommend disposing of any of the affected wet cat varieties.
