Flex a place... working from home

Dori tells us that there is one downside in working from home.

She has realized, beyond the shadow of a doubt that her one co-worker at home...  aka MAX... is... ehmmmm LAZY!

Looks to me as if he is ...meditating??? Wait, no he is on the job! That is his job!  He is blanket and sofa testing. And it is his job!

Boy, Dowi, cut him some slack!  Hoomans. Always jumping to delusions.

Manners... some two leggeds LACK them

Soooo, you finally got to momma.  After much stalking and skulking and tail fanning, FINALLY you got momma to yourself.

You settle in for what will be a much needed belly rub. For both of us. YES BOTH. Scientifically speaking, rubbing my belly is a de-stresser. I take much pride and full credit for keeping momma's blood pressure very low. You think I am just cute?  Ha.... I am THERAPY!  I am more than cute.

But I digress. Six or seven strokes into our belly rub, my eyes are closed and I am getting into the grove... almost ... I become aware that something is amiss. Then I hear some noise that sounds like a tire hissing air,,, I open my eyes and voila`... Giggling like a school girl at a New Direction concert , is my hoooman bro Adam. Get this, he has his hand over his mouth... he is the hissing tire... Apparently putting your hand over your mouth makes everyone one around you NOT hear you...right???  Yes SOURcasm... If you are going to intrude on my belly rubs with your camera, I reserve the right to shower you with SOURcasm.

By the third picture I am really stalking you now. I am looking at you and actually sparking some shame in you.  Do you feel it? Oh,oh wait, Do you feel like you should leave? Not hearing me? How about a phrase you would recognize... "CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?????" I speak with my eyes..

That's right, back off Jack, take your blinky box with you and make like the wind.  I am going to close my eyes and go back to the belly rubs. BBBBBB-byeeee....ciaoooo

[that boy needs manners... we will talk about that later momma...]

Ps- I love you Adam....even now.

I love busting a move this early in the day!

'vie whose cha CHA cha has the right hip action.

Thoughtless Thursday: Just follow me, I will show you

Over the course of the week that Adam was home, Silvieon4 showed us all a thing or two.... We learned that she knows what she likes, she knows how to get it and ... she is not above manipulating someone else to get it for her.

Aside from that whole pumpkin biscotti incident which was a doozie... we will tell you about it some other time...yes THAT good... it deserves its own post...Silvieon4 is too smart for her own good.

We documented this little "incident"....one of many...

Come here Adam, I will show you, just follow me!!!  I know where momma keeps some yummy stuff in crinkly paper! I live here ALL the time!!!  I know all HER secrets!   I will show you, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO THINK ABOUT!  Just follow me!

See the bag with the white thingies?  Candy! They taste like toothpaste, and butter.  She calls them mints. Let's get some of those!  You have thumbs! They are delicious.!

And in that closed basket... crispies, salty and delicious... Let's get some of those!!!  She won't mind! I promise! She loves you, no? She must share!

[At this point Adam was laughing too hard to do anything else.] Silvie was besides herself with frustration. When she finally gave up, she "punished" Adam by not going on his lap...

Dang it Adam!
You have thumbs!
Why won't you do it???? You frustrate me.

What can momma possibly do to you?  You are way bigger than her!

 I give up!

Hoooooomans!!!!

Snow?! BUT BUT BUT WHYYYYYYYY????

This is a reality I am not fond of... I mean, you do know that snow is wet and cold, right? Why would you want to even touch it?

Some of us, ehmm JD are "opting out".  JD is not venturing outside. But he did decide to nap and give the white caca a chance to melt away.

Some of us... ehmm the Wendy are NOT deterred by sweaters and such. She will not be denied her tinkle patrol. [Pee pads are too good for her!]

Moi???? I HATE SNOW.

Somebody hold me.

MY tootsies are NOT meant to touch that stuff!!!

Hey, it's tasty Tuesday no?

Momma said she was going to give pulled noodles a crack. I will let you know .

for now... I am trying out how to co opt a hooman into a snuggle.

The things you do for love....

There are times when being a loyal companion means setting pride aside to entertain your hooman.

Did I mention that we don't like winter?  Well, we don't.  And we don't like this weird weather.

Add to that mix a broken hooman that needs to rest and things get desperate.

So, please don't judge me. I did what I had to do. I took the "bullet for the team".   Ehh, it was good for a few moments and now I am off the hook for at least a week.

As far as compromises go.... this was an easy one. I must say. If I can pull off this look, I can model ANYTHING!!!

Auntie Robin, just wanted you to see what a team player I am.

'vie

Is there a way to speed up the springing of spring????

Sunday, January 25, 2015

Black and White Sunday: Winter is NOT my season.

The Wendy: "This way daddy!"

JD: "No, this way!!!"

JD: Ohhhh all that pulling to see this?

The Wendy: No, to SNIFF IT!

So when is spring coming?  I like it so much better when it is warm and breezy and not so spooky looking.

Where is 'vie? On momma's lap, of course. She hates cold, damp, wet and dreary. Nothing to sniff out there. Been there done that.
Weather like this is meant for snuggles and 'Vie is not about to squander that opportunity.

Black and White Sunday.... and DC Cooper Cat....

Cooper cat discovered the DOG show. Ehmm. WAIT! DOG?????
He could not believe his eyes. DOGS! White fluffy things like his cousins...
Being paraded around like some kind of trophies.

His only comment:"incomprehensible"

But like watching a car wreck... you want to turn away and you can't.

Why why why why why....How how how how...When when when when...

And then that single split moment of panic... "Oh MY Catness!  An I going to see the JD, The Wendy or the Silvieon4...on the TV???????"

That single moment of panic was just too much.
He had to turn away.

He gave up he was OVERWHELMED. DC chose to roll over and capitalize on his cuteness factor and capture his daddy's attention.  After all, what else could he do????

A dog show????!!!!!  BUT WHY????? Life's big questions are NOT Black and White. Are they?

Yea, Dc they are.  DC... dog shows because we are cute...and 'cause we can!
JD, Wendy and 'vie And Max the Tail too!

Thoughtless Thursday: JD- KS

KITCHEN SUPERVISOR- the KS!

Nothing to think about. This is a very important job!  When the momma is making our dinner, JD knows he is on duty. From his seat he follows every move that momma makes and supervises.
And momma knows... she is being watched.

This is a most important job. Full attention must be paid. A low growl will let momma know to speed it up,  A gentle "ehmmm" will remind her that something is missing from our bowls.

And sometimes, we wish we had thumbs because, frankly we would like to take over and get it done right. That means no hidden pills, no "powders" and no "healthy" caca added to our meal. But alas, in life you have to make compromises.

JD, the Wendy and I appreciate the fact that you have taken on this job and we want you to know that we rely on your skills and attentiveness and  thanks to you we have NOTHING to think about.

Carry on, Kitchen Supervisor! I bet Gordon Ramsey wishes he had you on the floor!

Tasty Tuesday: momma's MAGIC zucchini

Do you know when zucchini gets magic????

When it tastes like duck, or lamb, or chicken...

Momma's zucchini is magic. Today it tastes like yummy Greek lamb.

No, I am not going going to look into her trick bag and kill the mystery.  I love eating it too much for that, but you are welcome to by reading the rest of this post.

Only one observation. It is delicious. But why do we have to share it with momma and the daddy and even Adam ate it!!!!  Seriously hoomans, Eat some other food.  Go eat chocolate or something!.

'vie
Start with:

2 medium zucchini cut each lengthwise in half.
Lightly salt the cut zucchini and set it to drain off.  The salt will leach out some of the excess water and change the texture of the zucchini so it does not get mushy when you grill it.

Use your favorite marinade, making sure that no allium product is in. So no ONIONS [dogs cannot have onions]
We use a sprinkle of pepper, oregano or tarragon, a squeeze of lemon or balsamic vinegar,

Here is the "magic". Marinate your lamb, chicken, lamb, duck,... beef, fish... whatever protein you are going to grill in that marinade. Add the zucchini to that marinade.

Yes, the salted drained zucchini is now ready to absorb some of the marinade and flavors.

Yes, I know... the meats are raw!  But you will cook that zucchini so it is OK!!!

Prepare your hot grill, start by cooking your meats/ poultry...

As your meats get cooked, place your zucchini halves on the grill.
Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side.

And there is the magic.  Your zucchini should be cooked, but have a little body to it. {NOBODY LIKES MUSH!!!"}
Ehmm make extra.
It is popular....

And HAVE YOU SEEN THIS??????? THE BEST OF TASTY TUESDAY

we ARE in THERE!!! :):):) !!!!!
